Create and Sell Your Slimes In This Management Sim

Slimeatory is a shop management simulation mobile game developed by Ameerah Navalau. A popular YouTuber in producing mainly slime toy recipe videos on her channel, Just Ameerah, Slimeatory is the name of her workshop and subsequently, the name of her slime-making game. You basically build and manage a growing business of slime toy production and ingredient-selling to customers and fans.

Slimy Fun

Slime is a toy product manufactured by Mattel back in 1976. It was primarily composed of guar gum, borax, PVA glue, and water—and is mostly a non-toxic but viscous, squishy and oozy toy that won’t make a mess. Over the years, it evolved into different variations of colors and textures, usually used for other toy lines that need slime in their products, and it has even become a novelty toy that doubles as a stress toy to those who find its texture and consistency fun and relaxing to play with. It’s pretty easy to make, as well, so a whole subculture of slime-making has popped up in YouTube—people sharing video tutorials on how to make certain slime designs and creating new ones. You can even incorporate scents into it. It’s pretty hard to clean off of carpets but is harmless to children and animals, so it’s a great DIY toy if you’re feeling the urge to mix something up as a chemist would.

When Your Idol Makes a Game

Ameerah Navalua of the YouTube channel “Just Ameerah” had designed a slime game for all of her fans. However, unlike most recipe-making games, she decided to incorporate the idea of selling them as she does with her online shop. Titled “Slime Shop Slimeatory,” you have to build your own “slime laboratory” and shop like you would in most management games. You start off with a small plot of land and a few machines you can buy to start producing your slimes—eventually earning enough money through good investments and patience to wait for those cooldowns to expand your business further and further. Compared to most games of this genre, there’s nothing marking Slimeatory so special other than for its concept. You can make slime, sell slime, and even trade slimes with your friends—it’s a standard premise for a management sim.

Play It For Her

Slimeatory performs poorly for such a simple game, however. It often crashes and glitches out, even erasing players’ hard-earned progress. Buying the in-app purchases can also be risky because of this. If you’re a huge fan of Ameerah and her family, you can try it and maybe have some fun for a few hours—but don’t count on the fun lasting, especially if you love management sims a lot.
